v0.5.1

Prerelease

aarch64 package

Releases carry an aarch64 package beside the x86_64 one. Until this release, pacman -U refused the release asset on aarch64. The pacman repository had nothing under aarch64 either, so pacman -Syu could not sync it there. On aarch64, Omaweb now upgrades with pacman -Syu like on x86_64.

The aarch64 package runs the QtWebEngine that Arch Linux ARM ships, 6.11.2 at this release. That distribution rebuilds it on its own schedule. Settings reports whether the running build meets the Engine security baseline, so it tells you if that engine falls behind.

Fixes

  • Pages that send default-src 'self' refused Omaweb's own styling. On those sites the engine's scrollbar stayed drawn under the bar the shell draws, and controls stayed Chromium blue. Content blocking's hiding rules hid nothing. Omaweb now adopts a constructed style sheet, which a page's policy does not govern. The Developer tools theme takes the same route.
